Sweet, i just going to ask how this was coming along. Is that your first powder coating?

Looks great!

Unless you're using a special power cord, the AC power input connector is of the wrong "gender", as the AC cord will have hot / live prongs, what I used to call a "rattlesnake" as it can definitely deliver a nasty "bite".

I couldn't find any place around here that would powdercoat my stuff for less than $150. Also, they would take upto 2 weeks, because they like to process orders in batches. So, I decided to just spray paint the whole thing using automotive paint and clearcoat.
It was a lot of work. I put on at least 5 coats of cherry red paint + buffing with rubbing compound in between coats. I then put on about 8 layers of clearcoats with buffing in between coats. I then baked the whole thing at 145'F overnight. It came out alright.
