I'm sure some old timers here will remember back in the Heathkit days, every kit included a round red plastic thingy that held 4-40 nuts in one end and 6-32/8-32 nuts in the other. I remember I had at least a half dozen of the darn things in my toolbox. I took them for granted I suppose because I don't have a single one left and there are many many times recently when I have regretted not keeping a few. They were absolutely handy when you had to get a nut started inside a chassis while holding the screw with the screwdriver blade in the other hand. They were slightly flexible and you could start a nut on a screw in the tightest of spaces.

I'm sure I still have one, and the Heathkit-made Molex
connector tool too. Oh yeah, and a "tool" for breaking off
the cheapie Molex IC pin "socket" things from the board.
Heathkit was great at supplying you with anything they
knew you couldn't get locally.

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.

I think I still have one or two of those around... Along witn about 437 of the plastic alignment tools, mostly with one "rounded" end or otherwise rendered non-functional...

Toward the end of the ride, when Heathkit was selling everything from weather stations to tote-goats, I was surprised that they didn't come out with a kitchen table kit.
