Completed Budgie!

Postby fiftyfivefilms » Sat Mar 22, 2014 12:25 am

..it's tubed up and ready to go, This started as a vintage cage I bought on that auction place, then I bent up a chassis, punched it and then had it plated with Electroless dull nickel. I've got it paired with "Geeks" Marantz 7-C clone that I stuffed into an old Dynaco PAS-4 chassis..Thanks Shannon, a great design, and 3 watts is plenty to drive my Klipsch Heresys..

Very nice work. You have inspired my next project. I kept on thinking what I could make out of this thing.

Beautiful work! I love those vintage vented chassis. They just beg to be re-purposed.

Sweet, looks great! Nice and clean with retro finesse. Can we see the interior? Those are always my favorite pics :)

Thanks for your kind words here are a few more shots. Standard BOM with some Vitamin Q's for the output caps. I'm going you clean up and shorten a few of the leads for a neater look.
