Hi all; is there any chance a pair of transformers for a ST 70 would work as OPT's in an Eiclone? Also has anyone tried a choke loaded power supply for these amps? Maybe use a filament trans for the EL 34's?

The ST70 trannies should work fine, just keep the B+ (and power levels) down to levels similar to those found in an ST-70 (420 - 450VDC max), the power trannie should be 350-0-350 rather than 400-0-400 for this, and every thing should run fine. Typically, an ST70 biased the tubes at 50 mA each (100 mA per pair).
