Question about coupling capacitors with the CCS in 6sn7

Postby edwinc » Mon May 18, 2009 9:21 pm

Hi all, its my first time building an amplifier and I am doing an eiclone. Just a couple of question about the coupling capacitors in the design. About capacitors C1 in the revB eiclone with the CCS, comparing it with MKIII, the value of C1 is low and so my question is if I am to replace the C1 cap, should I use >C1 or <C1 which is 0.068uF in the schematic?

As am I correct that the value will affect the frequency response at the tail splitter?

And for C3 and C4, the value if I am to adjust, could it be larger or its better to remain it the same? Just for curiosity sake :)

And notice that the coupling capacitors configuration is different from what is in MKIII?

Thanks for your time for my noob questions.
