Connect IKE J4-4 to ground?

Postby Kojak » Sun May 25, 2008 9:06 am

On the latest rev B manual, the schematic shows the connection for J4-4 as a short line that simply ends. Previous manual had J4-4 connected to ground. Connect to ground or not? Thanks, almost done! Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_12

I would assume looking at the schematic, that it's grounded.
What does it do on the circuit board ? Aren't J-4 3,4,5 all connected
together on the board ?

... tom

Yes, they are all connected to ground on the board side. Go ahead and connect J4-4 to chassis ground?

It can't hurt ... you want to only ground to the chassis at one point.

OK, thanks Tom. I wasn't sure if the board was supposed to ground through the mounting stand-offs. Other than that, this should be the only point.
