Hi all,

Here the case after the painting... in a beautiful sunny day:

The wiring of the driver board

The inside in "test version", I have to improve the wiring and make rear/front panels.

Image

The amp looks like this Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_12

I have checked the sound for only 5 min today... the amp works fine!
Now I set the bias at 40 mA...will be increased to 50-55mA to get "warm" sound Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_08

Bye,
Andrea

Hi Andrea,

Chassis looks nice! What's your B+ looking like? I think you can tweak that bias up no problem.

Thanks a lot for all guys!!!

Tonight I have increased bias at 45 mA...minute after minute the amp gets a wonderful face....I love it! Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_16

@Shannon
B+ is 480-485V, depend on the value of supply network...around 215-220V.

Go straight ahead to 55mA. They won't even break a sweat and it'll sound fantastic. ;)

Dears,

after nine 8 years (9 !!!) my Eiclones still work hard , now I want try the 6550 upgrade (lol).
The maximum plate dissipation of this tube is rated 36 watts, so the limit current I can go is 36 / B+

What do you suggest?

Thank you guys.

Andrea
