Hi

I'm pretty new to this and I'm currently gathering stuff to make the darling.
I have tubes and a made a wooden cabinet and speaker cabs but now it seems there are no more boards to be had.
What are the alternatives?

Nothing beats good ol' point-to-point ;)

The hardest part of building an amp for most people is doing the metalwork, cutting the holes in the chassis and mounting the tube sockets, transformers, I/O jacks, power jack, etc. Once you do that, point to point wiring isn't very hard. Granted, I was spoiled in building Darlings, with the circuit board, but have build many point to point, I think I've build close to 50 total. You can use the Darling/Clementine schematic, which is pretty much identical to my amps with 12SL7's over the years.

Take a look at http://tmamps.com and click to zoom in. Very rare that there are two identical, unless they were intended to be "twins" !

You can use simple old fashioned "tag strips" or pre-made turret strips, but don't try to recreate a circuit board, just use the shortest route.

Hope the pics help.
