I finished this one up last night. Edcor was right at the 4 week mark on shipping. I used a pair of Russian 6n3c-e outputs, which are amazing !

Very nice, Tom. I wonder if those transformers smell as nice as mine do? (eat)

Haha ! Yes ! Mine smelled nice out of the box, like fresh paint. Then the aroma spread nicely when the amp warmed up. My power transformer is just warm to the touch, not hot, after hours of running.

I have a smaller set to build a Darling/Clementine with, first time for me with all Edcors in a Darling. I usually use the open frame XSE15-8-5K outputs and a Hammond 269EX (115/120 volts) or 369EX (100 to 240 volts) I figured I'd try the Edcor XPWR257 with a set of GXSE10-8-5K outputs.

Have you compared the 6P3S-E with "normal" 6P3S? They may appear similar but I know they have some different data.
I have a bunch of both the more good-looking E-type as well as the standard type.

can this amp use kt88s and the PC board?
additionally, can hammond xfmrs and choke be used?
I think the answer is no.

If you don't want to wait for Edcor, I'd use a Triode or Dynakitparts PA-774 --- they are almost always in stock. For outputs, anthing with a 5K primary and secondary to match your speakers and about 15 watts power handling will work. Hammond doesn't have much in the way of single ended that are not pricey. James are good, decent price and look nice.
No problem with KT-88's ... this amp plays nicely with anything.
