sweet & juicy SE amp for 1626 Darlings and the 6L6 family

New Darling Clementine

Postby TomMcNally » Thu Apr 28, 2016 10:32 am

I built this last night, I used a Hammond 369EX power transformer, and a 120/240 selector/IEC socket/Fuse/Switch combo. Hammond 156R choke and Edcor XSE15-8-5K Outputs. The power transformer is on 3/8" spacers to allow room for the wires which come out flush with the bottom. The 100 and 110 volt leads are stored on the tag strip for future use. The 1944 1626's saw the light of day for the first time, and I used a Delco 12SL7 ... probably from around 1955/56 when many American cars went to 12 Volt batteries ? Sounds sweet, I fell asleep listening to it last night.
