Clementine vs. Budgie

I'm using my new 6L6 Clementine to drive the lower section of my bi-amped Altec Model 19 clones. WAY more power than I need. One watt will drive these to loud levels. Sounds great. I'm driving the HF horn with a clone ST35 in triode. I'd like to go with an all SET arrangement. My question is which is better for the HF horn: another Clementine 6L6, a Darling or the smaller Budgie?

Thanks for any input.

I'd be tempted to try the ST35 on the LF and the Clementine on the HF. You could build a Budgie and tri-strap it for about 1.5watts. Bet it will sound sweet on the horns.

I would second this. Are you using a active crossover?
