Here is my latest build. Basic Clementine in a custom Chassis. The chassis design and construction took longer than the electrical portion on the build. As per normal with Shannon's designs, the sound in incredibly detailed and clear. with no input signal the background is quiet enough with my 98dB folded horns to make me wonder if the amp was working until the music hit. Using all Edcor transformers, 10W GXSE outputs.
Thanks Shannon!
Paul

Nice work, Paul, and the repainted end bells look sharp. Hard to believe those little 1626s are about seventy years old, eh? (lol)

I couldn't believe i found a quad NIB for $20. Here is a pic of under the hood. Since this pick i've added a CL-90 and finally fabricated and installed the bottom cover. It doesn't push the volume of my SE KT88 setup but the detail and clarity is incredible. I think the hardest part of building most amps is the design of the chassis to meet the WAF Factor. The last two i've had my wife pick out the colors. We've ended up going to auto-parts stores and finding touchup paint to get the color she was looking for. This one the transformer end bells were sprayed with a black metalic then topped with a light copper hammertone paint. The plate got a Toyota metalic grey. Oak surround with 1 coat of gunstock stain and a coat of Watco medium walnut oil. Top plate was fabricated from .125 5052-H34 aluminum. 14 years of aviation structural work has given me the ability to do just about anything with metal. The woodwork skills i'm developing.

I've also found that computer mouse cable makes great signal wire. 4 conductors about 26gauge with a wire braided shield. I grounded the shields at the board on this one. Plenty of dead computer mice getting tossed out.
