Hi, just wondering what mods I need for my KT88 Clementine if I change the transformer volts to 370-0-370. It sounds nice now but could use some more volume. Would this make much difference?

Do you need more system gain, or are you clipping too early?

Hi Shannon,it sounds nice at low volume, but doesn't go much louder when cranked up. I have 500v caps and the 800ohm cathode resistors and 3.5k OPT. I just thought the extra volts might help.

Thanks

What speakers and source are you using, and with any preamp? Is it the standard Clementine or the ULtra? Just still trying to determine if you need gain or power.

Hi Shannon,
I built some transmission line boxes for Wharfedale Golden 10 speakers I had. They were reconditioned and are very efficient.I'm using a Yamaha cd player with no preamp. It's the standard Clementine not the ultra.
