This amp just sounds great! I have about 15 hours in so far and the sound has really settled in and sounds detailed and full. Good recordings sound live. Jazz is just amazing.

A big thank you to Tom for all of the advice, I couldn't be happier (y)

Hi

I'm currently looking to buy an attenuator for a darling build and I'm curious about this:

As far as the attenuator, lower source impedance can always feed higher input impedance,
it's high to low that doesn't work well.

The original poster said he had a 10k attenuator.
Is this sufficient for these amplifiers.
Please excuse my ignorance. I am a total noob at this.

I have been using the 10K attenuators for a few years now with great success. Sorry for the late post, I haven't checked in here in a while. Good luck this is a great amp.

I have been using this amp for a few years now and listen to it nearly every day. The only thing I have changed is the output tubes from 6L6GC to KT88. I love this amp. I was really looking forward to building some of the other amps here, but oh well. Maybe someday. Anyone lucky enough to have one of these amps knows what I mean.
