Now that I was able to build clementine 1626, I am tempt to purchase another board, parts, etc... to build 6L6 clementine -- what is the difference in sound between the two. which do you like better. Thanks in advance.

The biggest difference is the extra power - you'll be able to use a Clementine 6L6 amp on mid-efficiency speakers, whereas the Darling needs high efficiency speakers. I'd say that the second big difference is you can do more tube rolling with the Clem 6L6: all the 6L6 types, KT88s, EL34s, etc. If you wanted to, you can mod for tubes like 807s and 1625s - lots of options.

Yes, 6V6s will work at a lower output power. You will need to adjust the R17-R20 - the cathode resistors - to 2k each, for a paralleled network value of 1k.

You mean change R17, R18, R19 and R20 from 1.2k, 1.8k, 1.8k, 1.2k to 2k each.

How do i wire it in triode mode. Thanks

Correct - change those four resistors to 2k each. Use 3W rated resistors.

Just follow the stock Clementine 6L6 build in the PDF manual for triode mode, page 7 and following.
