It sounds nice. Have not done any critical listening. The bass is nice and solid. I don't know what people are using for speakers when claiming weak bass with the James OPT's, but my klipsch RF-82's have plenty of bass.

Did you make that case or is it some one's standard product?

Al, great job on the 807 amp. That looks like a very nice chassis! I have really enjoyed my 1625 amp. In fact, I'm listening to some Etta James through it right now. Sounds great. The 807/1625 tubes never disappoint.

Did you end up going with straight triode mode or did you go UL? Did you use any feedback? Just wondering.
