Im not not asse about 6L6 tubes. whicht to try 1st?
WHat impendance on the output transformers should I use.
Ive seen 3.5K and 5K used... which is most widely used?

Anyone adding in R28 and R27 for feedback.... How does it work for you?

Just added this to the main sticky thread: "Power transformer is the Edcor XPWR005-120. Output transformers are the Edcor GXSE15-8-5K (these are for 8 ohm speakers)."

Your cathode network values are perfect at 720 ohms (1.2K and 1.8K paralleled). I'm using cheap Russian 6L6s right now and they are very linear, and sound great! They have a ton of blue glow, too. They were noticeably blue with the lights on in the diytube shop. Definitely go for the 5K, but I do plan to experiment in the future with 3.5K. A 3.5K primary basically would mean a triode strapped tube with probably 6dB of feedback.

I'll do a new post with more info regarding using feedback, namely a 6L6 ultra-linear setup with the 5K outputs called the Clementine ULtra. I owe my buddy Thermion some credit on this mod. It sounds fantastic!
