Been working on a few of these at the shop. Including *ugh* rewiring the arms (hint: SCSI cable)
We had a rush (flea market?) of no-name-brand TT's requiring 12V, 150mA wallwart supplies for really, really cheap turntables.
Had a rush of Rega tables with owners wanting $1K+ cartridges.
Plinth, drive and platter of the Rega and the no-name-brand were close enough to have come out of the same factory!
(actually, the belt of the no-name-brand was easier to replace.... if the Rega is off 0.2mm, it caused a SIGNIFICANT speed error)
Just thought as a tech, I'd toss this out there.....
