One of the NNETG guys posted this recently, a new full range driver fom Parts Express:

An intriguing (?) offering from the folks in Dayton, OH. Anyone have any ears-on experience?

Priced like the (apparently discontinued) Fostex FE-206E/FE-207E but much more (ahem) "American" (by which I mean "flashy-looking") in design. Almost cheap enough for an experiment :-) Qts is pretty low.

Hey, it's "only" 99 bucks, i so t's not gonna be a "Lowther"... More likely to be in the "Fostex" or "Tang-Band" (Taiwanese) class, decent but not truly, outstandingly great...

I don't know enough to interpret the freq response curves (green, blue, red): http://www.parts-express.com/pdf/295-346s.pdf

Is the bass a little weak?

Difficult to make a good judgement of bass response from the free-air plot alone... The smaller version did seem a bit smoother overall, however:

these are successively greater off-axis curves - typically 0, 30 & 60 degrees
