No, this isn't an "Enzyte" or Viagra ad Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_02 Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_04

JVC (Japan Victor Corporation, formerly known as Nivico) manufactures wood cone (and dome) speakers:

And just like some of the designers of this concept, of these have been soaked / aged in Saki Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_09 :o Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_09 :o Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_11

When I first saw them about a year ago, I desperately wanted to hear a pair. Anybody have any idea of who carries them?

Cheers!

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.

JVC wood not for US

Postby mercury_marine » Sat Jan 12, 2008 1:54 pm

They are available in Canada / overseas and online shipped from Canada / overseas. There would appear to be no US distribution yet...if ever. The bookshelf SX-WD5 runs about $700 USD pair plus shipping / taxes.

Thanks!

I'll have to take a boo when I'm back east. Other than blasters, no store for better audio I've been in carries JVC audio anymore *shrug*

Cheers!

ummm....paper is wood, too. except, it doesn't need to be encased in a thick hard resin to hold its form...

We've had them over here (Germany) for a while...

They were unreasonably expensive, like $700 a pair, for something that did not seem to me to spec out that well. I passed. Pretty, tho.
