My SWAG, they look to be the one and the same thing...

IIRC, the Danish ones used SEAS drivers, perhaps Madisound carries replacements, if needed.

Perhaps the seller willlet you get a look, as he is apparently the local area.
If you can get a look under teh grille, then itshould be more apparent if these are the "good" version of the A25s.

A friend of mine here has a pair of the Dynaco A25s which he hasn't used in years, I've been gently nudging him to put them up for sale or adoption, I'd give them a good home...

Those crooked brass nameplates in the corners sure
look like the original Dynaco ...

Hi Shannon,

I have 3 sets of A25's - don't ask why - well OK - I sometimes have more money than sense - but I am using two sets of them. The third set is waiting for the garage. Anyway, those in the eBay listing are original units. The serial numbers look right. Wish he had shown the condition of the drivers but they look reasonably well cared for so I doubt if the drivers are bad. They are great speakers so I'd jump on them. Looks like they're in your area too. I don't think you'd go wrong. Even if one of the drivers is bad, they're easy to work on once you get past the stuff they use to glue them in. I changed one set of tweeters on one of my sets to Morel MDT-20's and that was easy to do.

Good luck!

Ask the idiot who has twelve pairs. Them are original. The big clue is not having pictures of the drivers. He couldn't get the grilles off.

Hello,

What exactly are the “Good” A-25’s or I suppose the better ones. I have had two different types of A-25’s. If pressed I would have to say my favorite sounding ones were built from the components scavenged from some old beat up top port cabinets put into some later cabinets. Are there different versions of the Seas driver as well? All of the Seas drivers I saw were the pressed metal frames and rubber surrounds.

Common misconception that the Seas woofers are cheap, stamped-frame drivers because they're so light. The frames are actually cast magnesium.
