You can solve a lot of those problems above 10K with a phase plug instead of the dust caps.

The 800Hz is probably baffle-step.

Cheers!

I have one finished of two PC speakers. Using cheap Monacor 3" drivers. Cannot remember if they were 4 or 8 Ohm. Have to check that and (re)wwire accordingly.
Box is 12mm MDF, sprayed orange and fronts are 18mm pine dyed green.

I got the orange spray cans cheaply and I really like "odd" non-standard colors. There are too many black, red and silver amps and speakers. :/

Agreed!

I found out a pattern I love for speakers by accident... I painted some a dark brown as a base, then was going to do a gloss black over top. The black spray can ran empty and got splotchy bits over the brown. I fell in love :))

Two pair of Klipsch Cornwall Clones driven by a pair of Quicksilver Mono block 8417's running 6BG6GA's. The line stage is an Aikido 6SN7/6SN7

Brought home the test gear from work and ran them thru and the results were very good. They sound very good and test pretty flat.
