Voltage regulators

Hi all.
I'm not sure if this was a good idea, but I had way to much plate voltage for a pair of 45 so I put two series OD3 between the power supply side of R7 and ground. I used an ~7k resistor between R7 and the first VR to establish the current for the regulator tubes. Everything SEEMS to work fine. Does anybody see any problem with doing this?
Thanks!

As long as you're not exceeding the regulator's ratings, especially on capacitance, no problem!

I do this only using zeners. Happens now and again with a one-shot build using customer's iron.

Cheers!

Pretty picture, BTW :))

Thanks for the affirmation Gregg. It's been running for a couple of days now and hasn't burst into flames, so I'm becoming optimistic.
