The metal plate was cut from the lid of an older Marconi lab instrument, thick aluminum, but easy to drill.
My B+ and other DC voltages downstream are about 18-20V low, though my transformer is the recommended Triode and the PS parts only vary by a little (2.3Hy choke, 20uf film cap first position off rectifier, etc.) I may try another 6AX5 rectifier tube.
EDIT: Voltages now spot-on with better GE 6AX5GT rectifier tube.
It is settling in very well, and sounds great. For now, using my non-Hi-eff speakers while building new Hi-eff speakers.
Using the original grounding scheme - no connection between floating ground on board and earth on AC plug. And no turn on pops.
Really like it.
