Chassis looking very neat.

I see 4 pin sockets - you are planning to use 6A3 or 300B tubes?

Beautiful! :))

Did you brush the aluminum yourself?

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.

It will be for 300Bs. The aluminum had a blemish on it I didn't notice until I was done drilling holes, so I took some scotch brite and wd40 to it. Thanks for the compliments!

Beautiful quilted maple and nice joinery. Did you make the chassis frame?
What output transformers are you planning to use?

Yep that's my handy work! I'm going to use Edcor gxse15 outputs, and SS rectification. Going to try and custom paint the end bells.

Those are sweet 4-pin sockets, too. Are they NOS?

I got the tube sockets off EBay from a guy in PA. Not sure if they are nos. I wish I would have rotated them 90*
Owe well I will on the next one.

Thanks! Trying to take my time. I was the kid that put a model together all in one night, including paint lol.

Man,

There is nothing like beautiful wood combined with tube electronics. Nice work!

The transformers came out great, and overall a very nice build - congratulations!

So how's the sound?

It sounds great! I was surprised at the bass response, very good lows. I've got about 4 hours on the tubes so far.
Thank you Shannon for all the help and a great diy product!
