R11/R12 voltage rating

2nd harmonics for the masses

R11/R12 voltage rating

I have some leftover Takman 1/2 watt resistors that are rated for 350V. Would they work there or need something that is rated for 500V like the Xicon resistors in the Mouser BOM?

Normal voltage in that part of the circuit is about 54 volts,
so you won't have any concerns.

I see. Is 1/2 Watt rating is going to be issue?.. since the BOM calls for 1W resistors.

Those will be OK. Each resistor will burn up around 200mW.

Sweet! I love it when I can use leftover resistors along with leftover 100uf 100V caps.

Probably a stupid question, but are there any advantages of using higher wattage/voltage rated resistors than the circuit calls for?

Safety margin and some circiuts larger resistors are quiter , for grids in low noise area's

Took out the parts bin and its actually 56 ohm I have, not 51 ohm (for R11). How bad will be the heater voltage difference?

The schematic values are tweaked, so changing the ratio will add 120Hz hum. It won't hurt to use it but replace it when you can.

Oops, I better order some 51 ohm resistors.

Thanks Shannon; also, will a 51 ohm 1/2 W resistor be noisier than 51 ohm 1 watt? as in what Mark is talking about..I just want to use all Takman resistors but they only make 51 ohm in 1/2 W. I have sourced all Takman values but apparently they don't manufacture 51 ohm value in 1 W rating.
