get*set*go in Yaegeraudio chassis

Postby TomMcNally » Sat Oct 15, 2011 12:16 pm

I built this earlier in the week, and finally had a sunny day to take it
outside for some pictures. This is the 17x12x2 Yaeger Audio chassis.
It has a welded steel frame, and thick aluminum top and bottom panels.
The bottom panel has vent slots. The board was a tight fit under the
chassis, so I had to cut bigger opening for the electrolytics.
The transformers were used from eBay and are a little scuffed on
top ... a little car polish should help.

Nice, clean work as usual, Tom! (y)

Cheers!

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.

Is that a Russian 6SL7?
At first I wanted to be a ET. Now I are one.

Thanks Gregg!

Yep - that's one of the Russian 6H9C 6SL7 equivalents.
They seem pretty good.

Indeed! I like the Sovtek ones that are relabled 6SL7 (their 6SN7/6H8C too - I've pushed them to NOS voltages and they are still happy). Sound good too.

Cheers!
