Hello all,
New to the forum and wanted to say hey. I also have a question. Would these chokes work ok for the GSG? I have a couple left over from another project and would like to use them if they will work.

bottom of page RCD-100 choke

Thanks in advance,
Al

Thanks for the link!

I'mma get a box for ST-70's (one choke per channel).

Cheers!

I'm looking through the manual and I notice I haven't spec'd the choke for this design. The choke is meant to be the ubiquitous Dyna C354, rated at 1.5H, 200mA DC and 55 ohms DCR. So I intend a voltage drop from this DCR and R17a & R17b (90 ohms): ~145 ohms total. This is meant to get the B+ around the max spec of 325V for the 6B4Gs (later datasheets). Obviously, a new Sovtek can handle a much higher B+. So if subbing with this choke, I would jumper R17a and leave R17b empty. It may be a tiny bit maxed out, but the average DC currents will be in spec.

Thanks Shannon. So do I need to parallel them? They have a max current of 125mA.

While it is pushing it, your average current should be within this spec with a single choke. Give it a try.
