Which Antek for G*S*G?

I was looking at Antek toroids as they have dual primaries, hence
suitable for 220V mains. The AN-3T325 should be a nice
alternative for the PA774 and attractively priced at $40.

Why not the 1T300? It should be perfect for a GSG. The 3Txxx is rated at 500ma and would be overkill.

Thanks, Terry. Seem my blinkers were on, as I was just looking in
the 300VA column.

For the HV winding's current rating, do you calculate it from the overall VA?
I think the datasheet does not show it (or do I still have my blinkers on
here as well?).

On as aside, has anyone tried PSUDII under wine on Linux?

The trannie's overall VA rating includes the HV and filament windings' combined maximum-loaded current ratings.

For tube rectified, 300VAC or 325VAC will work with the GSG design. For solid state, use 275 VAC secondaries.

If you want to make it as "stock" as possible, Triode Electronics may have some 240VAC primary "export" versions of teh PA774 power trannie.

I presume that India (as does most of Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia and perhaps some nations in South America), has 220 - 240VAC 50 Hz, so the 100VA rating is maximum, with the 60Hz power in the USA and Canada, and parts of Japan, one can get another 20% of out of them, according to AN-TEK's ratings..

Volt-Amps aren't necessarily the same thing as Watts, as some power factors may have to be figured in.

Yes, the mains in India is 230V, 50Hz.

The Antek 200VA, 300V AN-2T300 toroid looks good.
The safety margin it provides over the 100VA one is worth
the small extra you pay.
