I have been considering building up a second GSG to use 2A3s (separate filament trannies and 4 pin sockets, as well as 6B4Gs.
Oh, yeah, add in another set of octals and make it parallel-connected 6BL7GT compatible. as well Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_06
Since parallel-connected 6BL7s prefer to run into a 5K plate load, and the James 6113s / 6115s just happen to have an otherwise-unused 5K primary tap, that issue is automatically taken care of!
Of course, such a "convertible" GSG amp is going to look like a tube tester in pretty short order...
...especially if one were to also mount and wire in two 9 pin sockets for EL84s in UL mode... That would be good for about 4.5WPC. (use the 5K and UL primary taps.
