Hammond 125ESE's - also, 3.5k primary OPT's

Postby gogzhad » Thu May 24, 2007 9:43 am

Hey - here I am with another OPT question - seeing Shannon's post about a 300B GetSetGo makes me want to save my James 6123's for that.

Has anyone run the Hammond 125ESE's on the GetSetGo? Any reason not to? Looks like a good way to try it on the cheap.

Also - would the 6B4G's hate a 3.5k primary OPT? I happen to have a few on hand.

Thanks in advance,

dave

I tried a get*set*go with Hammond 125E's ... it sounded good.
You could use the 3.5K taps I'm sure ... if your transformers
have multiple output impedances, you can mess with those
to effectively change the primary, that's how Hammond does it.

But don't hold your breath on my account! Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_06 That would be a whole new board that wouldn't be out 'til next year at the earliest. That's only if the prototype works worth a darn, too. Just sayin'. ;)

Hi,

the finish of the power tranny's end bell is not done yet since it is a custom wound by my friend here. planning to have the end bell wrinkle finish powder coated.

as you can see even the chassis is not yet finish! Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_09

cool Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_04

Any particular reason why you didn't spring for a James PT since you already got OTs and the choke?

I love the way those James' look

After seeing all these black James trannies, I'm a little jealous. When I get my 6123s, I'll get them Johnny Cash black.
