Little 6AW8 Regulator

Hi Folks,

Got a pair of McIntosh C8's for repair sans-PSU. So did a "junkbox" PSU for them and a GP bench reg on scrap chassis.

The design is one I've used on linestages, so I knew it worked good long-term, only I cheated using zener diodes instead of a 5651 of the original design and adjusted the divider accordingly.

Takes just six minutes for it to stabilize (3.5V positive drift). Vreg could be better, but I decided the decoupler was quite neccessary, since I already shorted the output :o)

Cheers!

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.
