Function Generator Kit

Postby Shannon Parks » Wed Oct 24, 2007 12:07 pm

Picked up a function generator kit - Elenco FG500K - for a high schooler coming to visit my workplace tomorrow to 'shadow' me. Should be a good little project for him as an introduction to EE. Anyhow, I'll report back on how well it works. Only $33, and it does 1Hz to 1MHz, so great for audio work. In particular, the sub 20Hz sine and 10kHz square signals are what I find useful for tuning amps.

I'll try to take some photos of the kit. Great manual and well designed.

I have one. The amplitude doesn't stay constant as the frequency is swept and I keep forgeting to turn the switch off so I go through 9 volt batteries fast.
