Angela.com has tube sockets that fit the Dynaco holes.
They also have a brand new website with (gasp) a shopping
cart system !

The gold version is the same size too.

Very cool !

Parts from Mauser made it in today.

Tom, what is the difference in the $9 socket from Angela and what looks to be the same socket for $2 from AES? If it's better then I want to get it but I'm curious what the difference is.

I'm not sure which ones you're looking at ... the $ 7 ones
from Angela are very nice, and fit the Dynaco holes
perfectly. The $ 1.95 jobs from AES are OK ... I use
them in some of my amps - Angela had them on sale
pretty cheap.

I think the better ones are worth it, since the amp is a pretty
expensive build anyway, why cheap out. I built a set
with all new parts a few years ago.

Are these sockets the correct ones for the driver tubes?

Rex -

Yes the gold octals or the silver ones are nice - I've used lots
of them. The 9 pin should be OK too, I haven't used any, but
definitely nice.
