Is it possible to use the Curcio Auto Bias BCS board with the Poseidon board in a MkIII?

After one week, I've received no replies to this post. Even direct e-mail to Shannon got no reply. Thanks much.

Hmmm ... Sorry you didn't get any replies.

To be honest, when you ask a question about something like that,
it would help if you explain what it is, show schematics, and links.

I have no clue what a "Curcio Auto Bias BCS board" is ... but many
of us are very familiar with the Poseidon, and glad to help.

Also sorry you didn't get any replies.

Yes, it should work just fine in the Mark III. I can't quite tell how large the board is from the pictures on the Curcio site, but it looks like it will fit. You will have to change the cathode current measuring resistor values on the output tubes to make it work. Keep in mind the board has the capability to control 4 tubes so two of the outputs will not be used in the Mark III. I see no other reason why it won't work. Caveat - I did not examine it in deep detail. I can do that if needed. So can several of the other guys here.

BTW - there are simpler ways to maintain constant current through the tubes. See this thread:

Mike came up with a great way to do that with a three terminal regulator.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need more info.

Thanks for your replies, guys. Much appreciated.
I understand that I have to remove the bias injection resistors (100K) (?R12 & R13) when installing the BCS board. Do those traces need to be jumped with wire or just left alone? Do I also need to remove R15 (& R14) - the blue potentiometer? If so, do I need to jump those traces with wire as well? Thanks for your help and advice.
