Somewhere around here there is a thread discussing the .02 cap on the Mark III schematic. It's the cap that ties the heater CT to ground. I can't find that thread, but I seem to recall it contained some interesting theories why Dynaco did it that way.
Why not just directly ground the CT? Is the exact value critical for this ceramic disc capacitor?
