Nice job Greg ! Are you building another, or will you use this one for a sub-woofer ?

Hi Tom and thank you, I have had a lot of help from you and Shannon.
My part was to be your hands and eyes over a long distance.
So far I’ve built a set of 300b’s, two ST35i’s and one set of KT88’s, the 300b’s were given to a friend as a gift but the others are here with me. I haven’t thought of using them as a 5.1 or a 6.1 system. I like to hear them as a stereo at the moment.
My next projects are another set of KT88’s using all high grade audio components, a set of PP 6A3’s (I have all the parts) and a clone of the Knight KB-85 (PP EL37’s) wired point to point.
As I have seen you have the same bug with building, do you have another project on the way?
I wish I was living in the States because you guys are able to pick up lots of great old and new parts, being in Australia we are limited due to the small population (21 million) and the post cost from other countries.
Thanks again.

Sounds like fun Greg !

The 6A3 PP should be sweet.

I'm going to finish up and other 6B4G "get*set*go" and a
6EM7 PP amp tonight ... there are pix here:

My typical black steel Hammond chassis ... haha

Do you have to pay customs on incoming purchases ?

To there is no doubt that you know what you build. Your amps look great.
I don’t have any customers, I tried once but they drive me crazy they want everything for free, not even the cost of the materials.
Just picked up my new old speakers today, plugged them on the KT’s, HOT, REAL HOT.
The KT’s sounded smooth, you can see them on the link below I added them.
Tom I hope to see more of your amps.

Greg

Hi Greg,

Your amps look excellent! And those speakers of yours look like the business end of the Space Shuttle boosters! :o Looks like you've had a great deal of fun putting it all together. I'm looking forward to building a ready*set*go myself.

All the best!
