Volume control

Postby Gregt01 » Tue Feb 27, 2007 2:03 am

Just a quick one, I'm about 90% finished on my first mono block and I would like to add a volume pot. Do I use a 500k pot and also by doing so do I remove R2 from the board?

Pot
Pin 1 = RCA+
Pin 2 = A on pc board
Pin 3 = B Gnd.

This is indeed correct, Greg. Maybe switch to a 100k pot to lessen the Miller Effect roll off from V1. Do watch out for long runs of wiring though, as this high impedance network is susceptible to noise. You can just move wires around if need be after the fact.

Thank you Shannon, I'll try to have it running this weekend. If all goes well I'll put the second channel together soon after.
I also finished my second ST35i, I used AB resistors the sound difference is noticeable. I will be posting photos soon.
