Regulated Power Supplies

Postby EdStiles » Mon Sep 18, 2006 8:33 am

Any thoughts on a regulated supply for a Mark III or an ST-70. Have a couple of the old (late 70s-early 80s) James Boak regulator kits from Audio Amateur that I could put in my Mk II / Posideons. With the SDS Cap boards, voltage is not an issue. Would probably put a Zener on the bias as well so voltage swings wouldn't change the ratios between the two.

In the Boak mod, the regulator feeds the B+ directly, in some other literature they suggest a small, 5-10 mfd cap as well as a bypass .01 mylar.

2 cents from anyone???

Thanks,

Ed
