Rev E negative feedback caps

Postby jKeenan » Mon May 12, 2014 9:40 pm

I notice the silver mica caps in Rev D have been replaced with ceramic disk caps in Rev E. Is it worthwhile to retrofit the Rev E boards with the silver mica caps?

I read about silver mica being stable and microphonic issues with ceramic disks. I wonder if it makes any difference in this application.

Thanks

Depends on the ceramic!

I've been switching myself to ceramics for some builds as the modern material offers as good or better characteristics at audio frequencies to mica.

Cheers!

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.
