A guy at Clarity Cap told me that the original values could have been chosen to get the ESR values where they wanted them; in other words the capacitance used was for the most part, sufficient. So ..... using the Clarity Caps, a 40uF would work for a 80uF electrolytic in his estimation. I still like the idea of using more than the original, but wonder why they went 60-40-20 instead of 40-60-20.
