ST35 mono-block

Postby Thor61 » Sun May 02, 2010 7:12 am

I have been thinking of possibly building 2 ST35's based on the current pcb. Is there a easy way to bridge the amp into mono using a single OP transformer ? If so could someone post or give the details for this type revision ect... Thanks

You would need two output transformer to do that , it would be easer to modify the poseidon pcb for that . Use four 6BQ5's inplace of the EL34's in a MKIV configuration of the PCB .

What parts do you already have .

The Poseidon doesn't have the power supply on the circuit board, it only has the voltage amp and the phase splitter. I think part of the convenience of the ST35 board is that it's all inclusive.
"It's a different experience; the noise occlusion, crisp, clear sound, and defined powerful bass. Strong bass does not corrupt the higher frequencies, giving a very different overall feel of the sound, one that is, in my opinion, quite unique."
