ST35 & Antek Output Transformers

Postby HiFiGuy » Mon Feb 08, 2010 6:56 am

Has anyone tried using the Antek 9.8K UL output transformers with the ST35 board? If so, how did it sound? Thanks

They should work fine as I've built several '35s with Heathkit AA-151 iron w/ 10k primarys.

Update

I tried these Antek output transformers and they worked great for low frequency but died above 8 KHz. I ended up buying the ST35 OPT clones, and I am very happy with the results. I will keep the Antek iron and see if I can use them with different output tubes, worst case scenario I can use em to build a bass guitar practice amp.
