rev d question

Postby rrd » Sun Aug 29, 2004 11:22 am

I am ready to start building my ST35. The instrustions and board layout seem very straight forward. However I do have one guestion.

Just below (or above) the EL84 sockets there is a row of three resistors. For instance R23,R24 & R45. In the middle of the outline for R23 & R24 there are three holes. The center of the holes is marked U2.

I'm not sure what componet goes there or how it would go in over the resisters.

Can someone explain?? Thanks in advanced.

Hi rrd,

There are a few unused footprints on the ST35 board and even more for the Ike board. They are for future versions and can be ignored. Those Ux footprints are for a CCS like the LM317. I've done some tests with a triode unit using these, but it is unreleased at this time. There is another very recent thread mentioning these. Good luck!
