Need Rev. C Manual

Postby Geezer » Mon Feb 23, 2009 4:12 am

I recently went through my shop and came across a rev. C ST35 board. I've built two Rev. D's and have a spare set of SCA-35 trannies so I figured I might as well build it, unless there's a compelling reason for ditching it and spending $50 on a new Rev. D. Is the manual available anywhere? Thanks for your assistance.

I should have one at home, I'll check after work and
get back to you. I built one of the very first ones.

Is the Rev.C really so much different from the Rev.D? I'd think you could just follow the Rev.D parts list and that ought to get you there...
"It's a different experience; the noise occlusion, crisp, clear sound, and defined powerful bass. Strong bass does not corrupt the higher frequencies, giving a very different overall feel of the sound, one that is, in my opinion, quite unique."

Revs C and D are very close, the main difference that the Rev D has the added pads for the LM317 EL84 cathode current regulators. The CCS is not documented in the Rev D instructions, unless it has been recently updated.

Revs A and B have the non-symmetrical layout, and Rev A (I actually have one of these rarities) has no convenient means of measureing the cathode current, as the 10 ohm resistrors had not yet been added to the circuit.

Not the same as rev. D

Thanks for the responses, but visually there are substantial differences between rev. c and rev. d and the layout differs...enough that I can't use the rev. D manual or board as a stuffing guide.
