Pentode Testing

I experimented some this weekend with a ST35 pentode connected, all part of my SV83 testing. Hope to get instructions for those lacking UL taps. The preliminary results were pretty awesome with the SV83 - very low distortion at 4W and similar to the EL84-beating performance of the SV83.pdf in the other thread. But the ensuing max power tests, along with varying the idle bias and screen voltage all over the place, kind of left me befuddled - like 8W at 1%THD+N.

I'll probably look at some of the classic pentode-connected EL84 amps (weren't the Scott's?). Tonight I want to sweep an old Eico HF-12 I have. The Eico literature claims .5%THD at 12W. I can live with that.
