Hi guys,

after a long time figuring out stuff , work responsabilities and lots of honey-do's , I'm done with my STEREO 35 made all from scratch . It sounds wonderful and was lots of fun to work on . Thanks a lot to everyone for helping me with this . I've really learnt a lot of new stuff . Here there are some pics .
Cheers .

Very cool look ! Did you etch the circuit boards yourself also ?

How does it sound ?

Thanks Tom; yes I designed the PCB's on Photoshop and etched them . It sounds fantastic , cristal clear from bottom to top frecuencies . I fixed some hum by using guitar cable . I would like to upgrade the signal caps eventually and see if I can top the sound quality even more ...

Congrats...very nice work!

Just curious: Why did you make your own boards rather than use Shannon's or some of the other ST-35 boards out there?

thanks for the feedback . I decided to make my own boards for one simple reason... it was a good chance to learn how to design and build my own PCBs . Now I can build effect pedals for my guitar , and stuff like that . And it was fun doing it !!
Cheers

Congratulations on a very nice job!

I notice that you have some NAD components there, including perhaps a C320 amplifier. I'd be very interested to know what you think about sound quality of the ST35 versus the NAD amplifier. I have an NAD C720 receiver, which I like very much, but I keep wondering if I might like tubes even better!

Thanks for any thoughts you might have.
