diytube going out of business???

I just ordered my first DIY ST35.
I also called Angela this morning to order my trannys (before they all left for vacation!). I need to get an i.d. on mouser so I can submit the parts list thingy that Shannon provided. So, I really like the supportive feel of the DIY group here. Any tips for a complete noob? I think I need to go get a soldering station somewhere - but I have no idea what to get. Any suggestions from the team? Also I'm looking for an "idiots guide to DIY electronics construction"... This is my first project in about 2 centuries! :?
